Well, today was much more fun than yesterday! After a rushed start to the day (and early now that i think about it), the day was a wonderfully fun one. This afternoon my precious friend and I took our girls for a quick trip to a somewhat local Girly Shop. I must say I enjoyed the ride and definitely the company. Walking into a store where I am surrounded by jewelry and PURSES - I almost couldn't take it; yet I only walked away with a new stuffed animal for Nancy Claire and some bath oil for myself!!
Then we drove back to town and enjoyed some of my husband's marvelous cooking and some scrumptious key lime pie. I couldn't think of any better way to have spent my Saturday. God is so good. He has blessed me with some incredibly godly friends. My life is full of women that I admire AND can really cut up with. BLESSED - that's what I am.
And the friends we spent the afternoon/evening with - what we have is so rare. Our entire family likes one another, our kids are the best buds, our husbands like each other and today on our ride home we even discovered we use the same color on our hair (shhhhh - don't tell her I told you that).
Seriously, she's one of those friends that I was close to but have grown so much closer to in the last seven months. I know I can tell her when I am having a bit of gloominess and she'll pray for me. And when my kid poops in her yard and waters down her entire garage with the water hose, she still loves me.
