Saturday was great! We went to Celebrate the Family at Neville and the kids had such a great time. They made crafts, played with bubbles, sand, got their faces painted and unfortunately for their momma, they touched snake and an alligator!!! Not my best moment of the day. But they had a great time.
Then last night we watched this great family movie called Secondhand Lions - it was really good. But this morning when it was time to get up, we were all exhausted, John Brady had a terrible terrible cough, so we decided we'd get some stuff done for our trip and we did! Oil change, clean car, packing. We're definitely getting ready.
So, for some reason all of this weekend must have been too much for John Brady to take because yesterday afternoon he fell apart at wal-mart over something very simple. Then today he was an up and donw roller coaster all day, into trouble and then tonight into some lotion first - smeared all over himself, his video cabinet in his room, one of his stuffed animals, the rocking chair, and the floor!!!! Just when we thought "okay, he's gotten this out of his system, he can go on back to bed" - he comes up front and has gotten into something else - Dr. Smith's Booty Cream. This time in the bathroomso it was easier to clean. And this was a day when we were doing some good therapy too! We did brushing and spinning twice today - obviously he needs more because he didn't even complain about what we did. So we'll see what tomorrow brings now.......I am sure more adventure because I am going to try to keep them from playing outside and getting some worse allergy reactions before our trip. We all esem to be feeling kind of allergic these days.
Okay, that's the weekend in a small nutshell.
